Salt Springs, FL - Update

Cold gave way to warmer temps by noon...frozen water pipes thawed and we made this a campground activity day.  Chatted with Snowbirds gathering info about trailers vs. 5th wheels, truck types, 2-wheel drive vs. 4-wheel drive, gas vs. diesel, miles per gal., sizes as well as towing pkgs. and rubber booster springs for our future abode.  A New York gentleman made this tag-a-long with his daughter's expressive exterior artwork.  The curtains complement the art on all 4 sides.

Our drive to the springs and walk along trail gave me more pics.  One has to be quick on the trigger to capture the manatees in action rolling and feeding with occasional bursts of water as they would blow from their nostrils.

Something caught this turtle's eye as it suddenly bent it's head to gaze into the water.  The cormorant spread it's wings to dry prior to flight.

Atop a tree an osprey patiently watched over the run for its dinner.  We ended this great day with music at the barn by the Salt Springs Pickers.  3 guitars, 1 elec. bass, 1 banjo, and one mouth harp.  A lady with a strong voice sang a few songs giving the men a break.  After about 1 hr. of music by the glowing fireplace, it started getting cold with one of the 'ritus brothers visiting the pickers causing fingers not to be nimble.  So, everyone called it a night until 6:30 p.m.next Monday night.
