Jan. 24, 2010...Home around 6 p.m. from our 10 hr. FL drive. All well here. No broken pipes from the cold and no mice. I was suprisingly greeted with one of my two Christmas cactus having a blossom. The other has buds. Most of my CA succulents also survived.
Took me 2 down days to catch up on rest. Then took me 3 days to catch up laundry.

Hair cut gave this mop a new look. Short!
J checked the generator making sure it purred. We did some yard work...raking pine tags.
Grocery shopping and gas the vehicles brought us to end of week. Woke up around 3:30 a.m. Sat. morning hearing the sleet. J did not get the kerosene on Fri. due to the long line at the pump. So, here we go at 4 a.m. out and about for extra fuel for our space heaters. We are getting sleet, sleet, sleet. Cold 28 degrees here at 2 p.m. To really be cold tonight. Brrrrr Check out the truck below. J made it to the mailbox and back...slipping and sliding without a fall. Now going to get prepared for another trip down the road. Let's hope spring comes early. Hey Mr. Groundhog....don't see your shadow!
