Salt Springs, FL - Bear Swamp Trail

The Bear Swamp Trail was long and interesting.  Not many varmints to be found; but, was a nice winding walk thru a variety of trees, palmetto and over a long curvy boardwalk across the wetland back to camp.  Along the boardwalk was a large black hole high up in a tree.  I zoomed in getting a great photo to see deep in the top of the hole something that looked like a raccoon snoozing.  What do you think?
The questionable thing to the right appeared to have run out another hole in a tree creating something like a mushroom or gall.

Back at camp we biked to the springs where we picked a few fresh oranges.  Oh!  They are so sweet.  YUM!
